Mrs. Miller was born in Giessen, Germany and immigrated to the United States in 1992, receiving her citizenship in 1996. In 2000, she graduated from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education. After starting to teach in Prince George's County, Maryland, she received her special education endorsement. Mrs. Miller has taught students with serious emotional disabilities, as well as students with learning disabilities and intellectual disabilities on the high school and elementary level. In addition, Mrs. Miller has taught German, and English at the high school level.
In 2011, Mrs. Miller received her Master's degree in administration and supervision. She worked as the assistant principal at Pahrump Valley High School for 3 years, before taking on the principal position at Round Mountain Schools.
